(YMCA Georgia) runs a project "Join and Jam". The idea of this project is to give the opportunity to young musicians to gather and play music.They give them space where they play, providing electric and music tools, instruments etc. helping promote, popularize the jazz as a music style.They also provide for young musicians stage for performance and organizing concerts. The project started on April 2008 and there are two groups are part of it. The youngest band's name is "J T" (Jazz Teens) -There are four kids there, three boys and one girl.
Nick Chikhradze (piano) - He is 11 years old and loves jazz, blues and funk.
Luka Dgebuadze (el. piano) - he is 11 years old. Nick's classmate. He was the one who motivated Nick to start play piano. four years ago nick brought him to our house and we were very impressed about his skills to play some classic, ragtime and pop.
Giorgi Tetsoshvili (drums) - the youngest musician in band. He will fulfill his 11 years in November. He played with older kids hard rock, but now develops his skills in Jazz, blues and funk.
Nata Khatiashvili (bass guitar) - only girl in the band. She is 16 and already decide to be professional musician in the future.

About Nick Chikhradze
Nick was born on 15th of July in 1997 in Tbilisi, Georgia (Europe). He currently Studies in # 55 public school of Tbilisi. Has excellent marks.
Nick loves Baseball and is the member of the YMCA Georgia Little League team - “Old Chaps”. He is pitcher and also plays on position of 2nd base and Outfield.
He is also very keen on skateboarding and computer games (Underground - Need for speed).
Nick enjoys drawing, especially Dinosaurs and cars.
His favorite car is - “Mitsubishi Evolution 8”.
He also sings folklore in Boys Choir and likes Georgian polyphonic singing.
Nick got interested in playing the piano in September 2005, since he heard the Blues works of Andrew Gordon on internet.
He loves Blues and Jazz (Swing), Also enjoys to play Ragtime and Rock ’N’ Roll.
His favorite tunes are: “C Minor Blues” (A. Gordon); “Take the A Train” (Billy Stryhorn); “Blues song #1” (A. Gordon).
His favorite artist/performer: Ray Charles, Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans.
His favorite composer: Andrew Gordon, Glen Miller, Duke Ellington.
Nick still has not made up his mind about what he is going to become - Baseball player or musician, but is sure in one thing: - he will always be a very good friend of music and piano.
