Due to the overwhelming demand of the book "100 Ultimate Blues Riffs", Andrew decided to author another book solely on blues piano/keyboard playing. Most Blues tunes are made up of a 12 bar progression and he thought that a book that shows the various types and styles of 12 bar blues progressions would be useful to musicians and students.
This book includes over 50 examples that cover a range of styles, (blues, jazz-blues, minor-blues, funky-blues, country-blues, rock-blues, Latin-blues, gospel-blues), tempos, rhythms and key signatures. There is a brief description, followed by each of the examples perfectly notated, along with the chord symbols.

Customer Comments About This Book: I recently purchased the 100 Ultimate Blues Riffs & the 12 Bar Blues Bible directly from Mr. Gordon and when I showed the books to my piano teacher he was so impressed with them that he bought the books from me and I had to go and buy the books again from Mr. Gordon.
Rex Brown San Leandro CA The 12 Bar Blues Bible which I have recommended to others and find to be a great practice aid is one of the most useful books of its kind. M.F. Indianapolis. I'm using the books for teaching at Southampton Solent university, I have already a hard copy of the 12 bar blue bible which i picked up in a shop here and it has been invaluable for teaching pupils riffs and improvisation techniques - they are all popular music performance students and i have found that giving them an exercise from your books in class every other week gives them a structured routine of learning as many just play by ear so having to read the music is invaluable - the guide tracks help so much aswell with the more complicated rhythmic pieces. I have found your book to be of a perfect standard and the riffs all sound great, there are so many books where the music is geared for younger children, ie microjazz etc and just doesn't cover older pupils with intermediate/advanced ability levels and so I can't be more delighted to have found your website!E.F. Hi there, Just thought you might like to know that this Blues book is just sensational. It's 11.22pm here in Sydney and I'm sitting here playing the CD.....and my moggie (cat) who loves music comes running into my office and music room saying gees....that's good Mum - sounds really groovy....yeah right, I said, and he looked really amazed to think it wasn't me playing. (the keyboard is beside the CD player) I'm not that good yet, more practice is required! Hugs and best wishes to you all. Pam.
Before purchasing this book,I was lost. Now, I know where I am, and where I'm going. My wife actually listens now.I am having the greatest time, and am working on improvisations, and its easier than before. You wont be sorry for Buying this one.D.B.PA
This is so far one of the best Blues instructionals I've encountered. What's so cool about this is you can clearly recognize the patterns from some of the most popular blues recordings. Most of the licks are very soulful and not some cornball riffs. The CD gives you the opportunity to hear how to articulate the passages. If you're intermediate after implementing these licks in your playing you'll definitely become advanced and one hellatious player.S.M. Omaha NE
