This Beginner/Intermediate level package presents an introduction to playing Blues & Jazz including Gospel, Latin, New Age & Rock influences. There are 14 original compositions specifically composed to introduce the musician to the various techniques & concepts commonly used in the aforementioned styles such as:
  • 12 bar Blues progression,
  • Walking & boogie woogie bass lines,
  • Triplet rhythms,
  • Arpeggios,
  • Blues notes,
  • Blues scale
Also included in the book are sections on note & rhythm reading skills as well as chord structures. Although this product is for the beginner musician, it is suggested that some piano/keyboard technique is required. Blues is the basis of most Contemporary styles of music and hence this would be a great starting point to develop these styles. Recorded at normal & slow tempos.
